How to Grow & Care for Petunias

Good morning! Happy Tuesday! I don’t know if you know this or not, but I love flowers! :) When we first got married (26 years ago TOMORROW!) I didn’t have such a green thumb. ha! I always planted pansies in the spring in Texas. Then I would wonder why they died so quickly. Pansies don’t love heat, & they really should be planted in the fall not spring. I’ve gotten just a little bit better over the years. It’s a mix of planting the right type of flowers & watering & feeding them enough, too. For the last several years, I’ve planted petunias in our front flower pots, and I just love them! They are super easy to grow & flower all summer long & into the fall. Let me show you how easy they are to take care of! :)

Ten 4th of July Treats

For not much going on this year, it sure has flown by! Can’t believe tomorrow is the last of June & that this weekend will be the 4th of July! 4th of July has always been one of my favorite holidays, and I hope you all have a safe & wonderful 4th of July with lots of yummy food & fireworks. :) Even if our celebrations are probably going to be on a smaller scale this year, we can still celebrate with some delicious red, white & blue inspired treats. Easy DIY Shiplap Wall {tutorial}

Good morning! This summer we will celebrate our 2 year anniversary in our new home, buuuuut believe it or not I still have projects from our old home that I haven’t shared! ha! Sooooo I thought I’d better get on that. ;) This is a tutorial I shared as a guest post on another blog several years ago, and it inspired the real shiplap we have in our home now. I just love clean look at shiplap (or planks!). Annnnnd I hope this design trend becomes a staple for many years to come. It’s also an easy weekend project that just about anyone can tackle with just a few inexpensive supplies and a few hand tools. We spent under $50 for this project. Let me show you how! :)

DIY Console Table {tutorial}

Good morning! With a little more time on our hands, it is the perfect time to tackle building a piece of furniture. Thinking about building a piece of furniture can be a little daunting, but this DIY Console Table is the perfect project to tackle. The supplies are inexpensive. Everything including the wood and hardware cost under $50. It only takes an afternoon to put together, and you can find so many ways to use a piece like this in your home. From a TV stand to bookshelf or sofa table to entryway console, you are sure to find the perfect spot for this piece in your home. Right now we are actually using this table in our pantry. Resurrection Eggs {tutorial}

Good morning! Easter week is here. Yay! I love this time of year. We have a chance to really focus on our Savior and all he did for me & you! One of our favorite Easter traditions is sharing the Easter story using our Resurrection Eggs set. I am not the one that made this one up. I made our first set when my oldest was just a little guy when I was serving in the Young Women’s organization at church. We all made a set for our families at one of our activities. We’ve used it every year since. Let me show you how to make your own set. :)
