Good morning! I don’t know if I have officially announced it here on the blog yet. Buuuut if not, here we go! ha! :) My oldest son is getting married! Eek! Crazy, I know! How is he that old? Annnd how am I that old? ;) He will be getting married in Utah in just a few weeks. Next month, we will be having an open house at our house to celebrate. So, I have been busy getting everything ready for that. I want to keep it sweet & simple. Good morning! It’s time for another addition of Craft Lightning! You know those fun & easy crafts that can be completed in 15 minutes or less! This month’s theme is painted rocks. Check that out here. :) When I first heard this theme….the first idea that popped in my head was a prayer rock! My daughter & I have been working on some Personal Progress goals for our young women program at church. Good morning! Recently I was called as the 2nd counselor in the Young Women’s program (the girls age 11-18) at church. So, you might see a lot more young women inspired crafts now on the blog. ha! ;) Anyways, it’s been a lot of fun. I work mostly with the younger girls ages 11-13, and they are fabulous! One of them is my amazing daughter! :) I love spending time with them. Recently at our Personal Progress night we were talking about why we work on our personal progress goals & why we say the YW theme each week. It all leads us to the temple. So, I made these cute DIY temple necklaces that they could wear to remind them of their goal to go to the temple.

Gooooood morning! :) It’s a big week at our house. It’s the last week of school, annnnnd How To Train Your Dragon 3 Walmart Exclusive DVD Gift Set is available at Walmart right now. Eek! I was able to pick up our copy yesterday at Walmart. We can’t wait to watch it over & over again. ;) We absolutely love the whole How to Train Your Dragon series, and the third installment does not disappoint! We were able to see the movie in theaters over spring break. It was amazing! Annnnnd I’m sure you’ve heard by now that there is a brand new character ~ a female dragon called Light Fury. I don’t want to give too much away, but there is even a dragon love story. Awwwww! It’s so cute! Well, to celebrate the release, my kiddos decided to make Toothless Slobber Slime. It’s the perfect activity to go along with the movie, and your kiddos will love making it. Let’s me show you! :)

Good morning! Recently my son turned 16! Eek! Either he’s getting old or I’m getting super old! ha! ;) Anyways, as part of his birthday celebrations, we decided to do a little room refresh for him. Good morning! Last week one of my best friends & I treated ourselves to a little Mother’s Day splurge. We went on girl’s trip to Kansas City to see The New Kids on the Block // Mix Tape Tour! Eek! My 15 year old self would of been so happy, and I’m not going to lie I was a little bit excited, too! ha! It’s always go to go back in time & relive some of those glory days. Annnnnd who knew that the NKOTB would still have the same dance moves after all these years later?? It was awesome! Oh oh oh oh oh! ha! If you haven’t been yet, it was definitely a concert worth checking out. I think they tour all the way through the summer. Debbie Gibson & Tiffany made an appearance, too! DIY Cedar Planter Box {tutorial}

Good morning! Spring is here. Yay! It’s time to start thinking about what you’d like to plant in your flower beds & containers. This DIY Cedar Planter Box is the perfect project to tackle this time of year. It’s easy to put together and since it’s cedar, it should last for years to come. Annnnnd the wheels make it easy to move around your porch or patio. I actually made these for our last house, you’ll notice our porch is not bright blue in these pictures. ha! I actually had two of these, and before we moved I gave theses boxes to my neighbor. We just rolled them down to her house! ha! I loved the wheels. Anyways, let’s get started!
