For this project you will need:
a Silhouette or Cricut
onesie
gold metallic heat transfer vinyl
iron & ironing board
pillowcase

onesie supplies

I used my Cricut to make this cute onesie. I used a font from my computer, & then reversed the image. I then sent it to my Cricut to cut out. Easy peasy!

I weeded out the excess vinyl, & then I placed it where I wanted it to go.

I put a pillowcase on top & then ironed over the vinyl. Be sure to apply a lot of pressure.

Lift off the transfer tape, & you are all done!

I love that you can personalize these anyway you’d like. I thought the hashtag #littleblogger would be perfect for Lauren’s bundle of joy! :)

Like I said some of my blogging friends & I have all teamed up to throw a "Virtual Baby Shower" for one of our best blogging buddies, the incomparable Lauren Lanker of The Thinking Closet! She and her husband, Mark, are expecting their first baby - a precious little girl - this June. Every blogger has contributed something different to our shower, and we have all the elements covered. So grab a cupcake and stay for a while! :)

  2. So cute!! Hey do you have any tips on how to wash clothes with vinyl on them? I've always had bad luck with mine and the vinyl pulls off.

Thanks for all the baby shower ideas - love this!

    1. I've had trouble, too! I found that if you wash it & just let it air dry it seems to do better. Also, if your vinyl starts to pull off you can just re-iron it back on your shirt. Good luck! :)

    2. Air drying them helps a lot (either by hanging them or if your dryer has a no-heat tumble option, that works too), and I've found that if you turn the onesie inside out before you wash it, it helps protect the vinyl a bit as the clothes all rub together in the washer.
