supplies

You’ll need a few supplies to get started:
onesies
heat transfer material
these images from Silhouette {baby whale, baby giraffe, baby elephant}
CAMEO or Portrait
weeding tool
cutting mat
iron & ironing board

#SilhouettePortrait

After opening your image in your Silhouette software, sizing it to how big you want it & setting your blade to heat transfer material, load your machine with your heat transfer material shiny side down. Send your image to cut. TIP: If you have words in your design make sure your reverse your image before cutting! I didn’t have to worry about that with these designs.

flocked heat transfer

After your image has cut, trim the excess off to save for later. Then slowly pull off the negative space.

Leaving behind a cute little baby giraffe. Adorable! ;) TIP: You can use a weeding tool to remove the tiny spots like where the eyes were.

Then you’ll flip this onto your onesie shiny side of the paper up, heat transfer material touching the onesie. Place a pillowcase or some kind of thin cloth over the top. Then using a warm iron you’ll iron until your heat transfer material stays stuck to your onesie. Just be patient, & take your time with this step! ;) I love how they turned out! So cute! I made these for my sister who is having a baby in June by the way! We are so excited! :)

  4. When I cut the elephant, there is just a thin line for the ear and it's not as big as yours is showing. How did you get a bigger negative space for the ear?

    1. I am so sorry! I linked to the wrong baby elephant image. I actually used this one >>> http://www.silhouettedesignstore.com/?page=view-shape&id=11545

      You can also ungroup your image. That way you could adjust your ear line to be thicker.
