Hello! I’m back to share another fun party inspired post with some fabulous We R Memory Keepers & Lifestyle Crafts products. :) We R Memory Keepers sales some fabulous punch boards! I’ll be sharing some fun tutorials using these punch boards over the next few months. Today I am excited to introduce you to the gift bag punch board. This is a fabulous little tool! It’s perfect for making party favors, gift bags, party centerpieces & more. So keep reading to see how to use it, & you can enter to win one of your own. Yay! :)
This punch board will make 3 different sizes of bags ~ small, medium & large. You can make your bags as tall or as short as you’d like depending on how wide you cut your paper. You have so many fun possibilities with this punch board! :)
First you’ll cut your piece of paper depending on what size of bag you’d like to make. Tip: On the punch board it has the measurements listed for small, medium & large bags. You’ll begin by lining up the edge of your paper on the start line.
You’ll press down on the yellow button & punch. Then you’ll use your scoring tool to score a line on the medium line (or whatever size bag you’d like to make). Score a line on the horizontal line, too. Then move your vertical score line to the start & punch again.
Then you’ll use the scoring tool to score one side of your bag. Score a line where it says side. Make sure you score around the triangle, too. Also make sure you are scoring horizontally as you go along.
Then you’ll move the last scored line to the start line. Punch again. Then I scored a line on the medium line (since that is the size bag I was making). TIP: Score from the bottom up. It’s much easier! :)
Then move the scored line you just made to the start, punch and then score the other side of your bag. Don’t forget to score horizontally & around the triangle.
Then you’ll move the last line to the start & punch again. Then you’ll have a piece of paper that looks like this.
You can trim off the excess on the end.
Then you can use your scoring tool to help crease your gift bag along all of the scored lines.
If you’d like holes for ribbon on your gift bag there is a handy hole punch on your gift bag punch board, too! Very cool! ;)
Then you’ll use your adhesive to assemble your gift bag.
Then I just used some twine & die cuts to finish up my gift bags. Aren’t they cute? I love how easy they are to make, too! :) Now how about a fun giveaway for your very own gift bag punch board! Enter in the form below. Giveaway is open to U.S. residents only. Good luck! :)
