Ginger Snap Crafts: colorful pumpkins {tutorial} #Tuteracelebrate

colorful pumpkins {tutorial} #Tuteracelebrate

colorful pumpkin tutorial from Ginger Snap Crafts

Remember my David Tutera Celebrate card post from earlier this week? Well, Core’dinations had sent me tons of fun supplies for the post, & I have a bunch left over. So I decided to make some color pumpkins with some of my extra supplies! When my 5 year old saw these she said, “Why didn’t you make them pumpkin color?” ha! Well, I think they look cute all nice & colorful.  Who wants just boring old orange, right? ha!

Some of the David Tutera Celebrate card stock is sand-able!  Super cool!
If it’s sand-able it will say that on the back of the package.
So you can sand the cardstock & reveal the color underneath.
{Remember all the David Tutera products are available at JoAnn’s in store & online.}

sanding cardstock

It was super easy to do.  You just use the sander from the Sand It Set from Core’dinations.
Rub it gently over the top of your cardstock.  Then you can use the special rag
that comes with your sander to pick up any dust.  Aren’t they pretty??

Now here is how I made the pumpkins.
{I had picked up these pumpkins on the daily deal site, Finger Snapper.}

how to make a pumpkin

One~ I cut the piece of card stock down to size.
Then using a pencil I marked where the grooves were on each end.
Two~ Then I connected the marks with my pencil to make lines.
Three~ Then I cut my card stock into strips to fit my pumpkin.
Four~ Then I used spray adhesive to attach the paper to my pumpkin.

distressing ink

Six~ I distressed my pumpkins with some distressing ink.

Seven~ Then I tied a piece of ribbon around the top.
